His previous album, Nocturnes (2013), was only available on CD/Digital as the extended track lengths made it impossible for vinyl format. For his new album, Cascade, Basinski made a special vinyl-only version that includes a different mix of "Cascade", plus two additional tracks that only appear on the vinyl. This special vinyl release is called The Deluge. It is pressed onto 180 gram white colored vinyl, and packaged inside a heavyweight, full-color cardboard jacket.
