Canon Blue
Canon Blue's auspicious beginnings are rooted in the 2007 debut album, Colonies, an unassuming bedroom electronic folk album from golden-voiced singer-songwriter Daniel James, completed with a little help from Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor. Since then James has expanded his musical and compositional palette immeasurably. The new album, Rumspringa, finds him coming into his own while employing nearly 20 musicians to translate his impressive vision. The reserved, introverted abstractions of his past have given way to a thoughtful but infectious glee.
