Aside from being one of the most genuinely innovative musical artists of this still-young century, they were also masters of the homespun video collage, a perfect accompaniment to their beautiful, bent, brilliant songs. Originally only available as part of the awe-striking A Dot In Time. box set, Freedom From Expression is now available for purchase as a stand-alone DVD. It includes every video ever made by the Books, archived in chronological order, and including several previously unreleased music videos and other ephemera. It's a sight to behold, and a perfectly surreal way to spend a quiet, weird night at home with some of your closest friends and family. We highly recommend viewing during Thanksgiving dinner.
