Following her stirring sophomore album last year, Japanese electronic pop genius Caroline asked some of her closest friends and collaborators to contribute remixes. And boy did they deliver: 'Verdugo Hills Remixes' features remixes of every song from 'Verdugo Hills,' from a variety of acclaimed artists including Eluvium, Dntel, Mice Parade, Her Space Holiday, Manual, and many more! It's a truly wonderful record and perfect companion the original album. This release is LP only, limited to a one-time pressing of 1,000 copies. The first 100 orders will receive the limited edition colored vinyl! This will ship on or around July 15.
One of our all-time favorite bands, the Books, called it quits earlier this year. They left us with four groundbreaking records, and launched an already spectacular solo career for co-founder Nick Zammuto. What most folks don't know is they also left an overflowing treasure trove of unreleased material, both aural and visual. We have collected all of it in an absolutely stunninglimited edition box set! It includes: all four studio albums in their deluxe remastered and repackaged editions, two bonus vinyl albums featuring a mind-bending FORTY-FIVE (45!) rare and previously unreleased bonus tracks! The box also includes a brand new DVD containing every video the band ever made, plus a full-color 56-page picture book. Not enough? We agree! Also included is the super-sweet cassette tape-shaped USB flash drive containing high-quality 320k MP3s of every Books song ever released! A total of nearly 6 hours of music and film, compiled into one of the most beautiful packages we've ever produced. If you ever considered yourself a big Books fan, this is for you. Limited to 1,000 copies, so grab it quick! You won't regret it.
We just acquired a very small amount of vinyl reissues of the first two Three Mile Pilot albums from our buddies at Hi-Speed Soul. Each record includes bonus tracks not on the original records, and they each come with a free MP3 download coupon. They look and sound great, and they're extremely limited. We have less than 100 of each, so jump on these FAST!
Way back in the early oughts we tried to sign one of our favorite power trios ever, the mighty Brooklyn beast that is Turing Machine. It might have taken them nearly a decade to respond to our advances, but better late than never, we say (especially when the record is this damned good). 'What Is The Meaning Of What' is Turing Machine's third album in 15 years. Certainly not the most prolific, but what they lack in timeliness they more than make up for in bone-rattling badass beats. Seriously, this is not to be passed on.
After months of chatter, the Books co-founder is here to mend the broken hearts of all those reeling from the recent demise of the beloved duo, not to mention win over a whole army of new folks. Not unlike the Books catalog, Zammuto's debut album is an indescribable patch of sounds and moods, collaged together with uncanny mastery and attention to detail. You'll be digging new bits out of this one even on the 10th, 20th, and 100th listens! While supplies last, we have limited edition colored vinyl available for you colored vinyl caring types. We also have compact discs for you compact disc types. You know who you are.
