We are honored to be a part of this very special project, a film by acclaimed Texas director David Gordon Green, and its sublime accompanying soundtrack by fellow Texans Explosions In The Sky & David Wingo. Wingo has composed some of the most stirring scores in independent film in recent years (most recently Mud and Take Shelter), and fronts the band Ola Podrida. He's an old friend of Explosions In The Sky and Temporary Residence, and it's a true pleasure to finally collaborate. Prince Avalanche isn't merely a soundtrack - recorded in the band's living rooms, it functions as a remarkable full-length album on its own merits, one that rests comfortably in the EITS canon next to their most intimate, elegiac works. It is available now for pre-order on CD and Gatefold Vinyl LP. While supplies last, we have a limited edition Transparent Red colored vinyl variant available. Nine Inch Nails (whom we love) have kindly asked Explosions In The Sky to support them on their upcoming tour! This will be the first time NIN have performed live in many years, so the offer is especially gracious. It's a true honor, and we're really looking forward to seeing this incredible double-bill! Explosions In The Sky will play a handful of pre-NIN dates later this summer, to be announced soon.
